Danzig - 4p Tour Long Sleeve....wait longsleeve?

For the last 3 or 4 months I've really started to fall in love with long sleeve shirts. I don't know, I've always had a fascination with the look of a long sleeve shirt, cause they seem so rare, and different. But since I was never a shirt collector, I never really wanted to drop the cash. Well this has changed. ahahah boy has it changed. I'm like a long sleeve shirt collecting freak right now. Like out of control. I think I've bought about 15 shirts in the past 2 months, and I have about 8 more coming in the mail.

So what got me all cranked up on LS shirts? The one I'm going to show you right now. Danzig - 4p Tour 1994.

They also did this same design on a tour t-shirt that recently went for well over a 100 bucks on ebay.

I'm always searching for Misfits, Samhain, and Danzig vinyl and memorabilia on ebay. One day I came across this LS and for some reason I just had to have it. I love Danzig. I don't know what it is but Danzig really helps me concentrate. The style of music is soothing. Yeah I said soothing ahah. When you listen to any of these bands for the first time, you just never would believe what's coming out of Glenn's mouth. And when you find out you feel like you know something that no one else knows or understands. It really takes me back. So when I'm at work with my earphones in, and I'm listening to Danzig, I feel like I'm still me. No one can hear this music but me. No one can hear glenn telling me he loves pain. So to me, I'm not the Nick that designs buildings. I'm the Nick who just loves hardcore and punk and wished it was 1995 every single year.

This is the first LS shirt I bought, and I figured I'd get it and probably not buy another one for a while. But when I got it, I started to really see the beauty of owning a shirt like this. I wore it once to my girlfriend's art show. One of the guys she works with, who loves Danzig, saw the shirt and flipped. We got to talking and it was a pretty cool conversation piece. You can't do that with vinyl.

After that day I started buying LS shirts like a son of a bitch. And I think I really like it. My only issue now is I really don't know anything about how much I should be paying. Or if it's real or not. I mean anyone can make a shirt. Faking a record, slightly more difficult. So let's take a look at the stuff that I don't know shit about.

Here's the tags. Back and front.

So what the hell am I looking at right now? I mean did Anvil make shirts back in 94? The shirt feels old. Like I own shirts from the mid 90s and they feel the same. But the tag...blah, I have no idea.

What about the copyright information?

Looks nice...I guess hahah. I really have no idea. Pretty sure it's real. I know this design, and the cotton feels stale...if that makes sense. It feels like it's been sitting around for a long time.

So I guess I'll start doing some more of these shirt posts. They're fun cause I really have no idea what I'm talking about. SOILD!

  1. I owned the t-shirt from that classic 94 concernt AND a bandana, with that same logo on it...it was more of a small flag. Danzig 4 is my favorite album of all time, and that concert was the best show I have ever seen.

  2. I wish I was there SHIT! I didn't get into Danzig till the late 90s. Maybe one day they'll do a classic danzig lineup reunion tour. Damn, they would make so much cash.

  3. Mine looks the same too. I went to the December 2nd, 1994 concert. The best part for me was that John Christ gave me a guitar pick! I have that puppy and my ticket in a frame!

  4. I saw this tour on 10/31/1994. Type o negative opened for Danzig. EPIC show!! I owned that exact shirt. I have been searching for a replacement for, well damn near 20 years. It was my favorite shirt. Deff. a conversation starter. I have seen Danzig many times over the years, although the music was fresh back in the early 1990's. The shows still KICK ASS. Dude rock that shirt with pride!!. I am 38 yrs old, I have 2 boys. I rock my Goat head Tshirt all the time. Love picking them up from school and getting looks from the Moms :)
